Refund & Cancellations

Generally no refund of fee is permitted on account of withdrawal/absence from the institute or other reasons once a student is admitted to any course of study.

1. A refund claim may, however, be admitted on merits after due consideration of the request by the Institute. If approved, the amount to be refunded shall be within the limits stated below:

(i) Anytime after admission, but before 10 days from the date of commencement of classes

General Category: Total fees excluding registration fees of Rs.1000 & processing fees of Rs.2000

Foreign/NRI Category: Total fees excluding registration fees of USD 100 & processing fees of USD 200

(ii) Anytime thereafter & after 10 days from the date of commencement of classes 50% of the total fees

(iii) After 20 days from the date of commencement of classes No refund

(iv) 'REGISTRATION FEES’ is not refundable under any circumstances

2. All refunds will be processed by the PRO of the Institute upon receiving the approval from the Management.

Requests for withdrawals should be made in the prescribed application available at the Admissions Office.

Refund will be made only after the candidate has surrendered the ID card, original fee receipt and the dues clearance certificate.

The refund information given above is indicative and SMEC reserves the right to make changes. Any changes in the above will be informed separately.
